Steenberg Golf Club was built on one of the Cape’s oldest wine farms, dating back to 1682. The ‘Steenberg’, or mountain of stone, is the backdrop for the course along with vineyards and mountain forests. The course required considerable shaping and a small stream was created to manage excess water that drains off the mountain. This flows through the course and comes into play on many of the holes
