SAN LAMEER COUNTRY CLUB Near Southbroom, KZN, South Africa (www.sanlameer.co.za)

San Lameer Country Club was already an established resort before they decided to build the golf course. The course had to fit in between the chalets and sensitive indigenous forest in a low-lying floodplain and as a result many of the greens, tees and fairways were raised and built above the floodplain. Water is abundant in the area and the course is laid out to maximise this and the wetland forest.

Style: Parkland, Par 72, 1994
